Welcome to the unofficial Christ's Hospital Forum - for discussing everything CH/Old Blue related. All pupils, parents, families, staff, Old Blues and anyone else related to CH are welcome to browse the boards, register and contribute.
Indeed it is; I have just spent a while exploring Google and various church sites with no luck beyond an approximate address, which would be on record at CH anyway. Surely if anything serious had happened 'the Blessed Anne' would have contacted the school? I do remember though that she is not a computer user, so would not be aware that we on here are worrying about him. Is there someone who knows him well enough to maybe write and enquire?

I've found a postal address which I am 99.99% certain is Neill's but if, Frances, you are aware of the Church Neill attends perhaps a phone call to the Priest / Vicar etc might be in order rather than contacting directly?
That was my original thinking, but I couldn't pin down the actual parish, which may not necessarily be where he lives. I tried diocesan websites because he is a retired priest who still occasionally 'helps out'. I did manage to sort out an address and could presumably get hold of a phone number, but I am afraid I wimped out of phoning - especially as I don't really know him other than on here. Imagine the embarrassment on both sides of being told, for example, that he had died six months ago. I do wonder though whether he had had a stroke or succumbed to Alzheimer's or something - he is well into his 80s and it is uncharacteristic for him to just suddenly disappear. It may simply be that his computer has 'died' and he didn't think it was worth replacing!
As he has been a regular and generous donor to CH, I'd imagine they would know had he died. I do recall that he was having some kind of hospital investigation (bladder?) so maybe he has been poorly. He stopped posting after a contretemps with Avon but I can't believe he would have let that fester for so long. Perhaps a letter might resolve the question.
I live in the same area as Neill and there has been no notices in the local paper which I think there would have been, as he is a councillor and he has written to the Editor on the letters page, but not for months. As anniexf says, a letter addressed to Anne would be the best idea.
