Help!! I'm in a bit of a panic as I've got an interview as a boarding matron (non residential). I have zero experience, apart form having a teenage son at boarding school, so I'm not quite sure why I've been called
Anyway, does anyone have any views on what makes a good matron, and any other advice?

It's a co ed school, but the boarding house is boys, 13-18.
I wouldn't have a clue about girls! I'm so nervous, because I would really like this job. (even though the term times aren't the same as CH
and I would never be able to drop my son off at the beginning of term

That was a really hard interview - I think my lack of experience clearly showed! Never mind (school wasn't half as nice as CH

la la la. they didn't offer me the post starting in Jan, but were so impressed that they have offered me a position in another boys house starting in sept. Which is much better timing for me as ds2 will have started yr 7 and I needn't worry so much about childcare
