It's time for Sillett, Cairncross and Poulton to comment.
Karim sent down for 10 years. Not long enough, but there you go.
Sillett is mentioned here.
Cairncross and Poulton elsewhere.
They seem to have nothing to say for themselves.
What an absolute disgrace.

Abosulutely agree.
Their handling of the Karim complaints is the most disgraceful abuse of a position of authority. One of them puts the hard word on the victims to try and silence them. One of them paves the way for the arrogant scumbag with glowing refereneces, I’m not sure quite what the third one did, but it clearly wasn’t “safeguarding” as it is supposed to work.
Pull up the lectern in big school, issue an invite to old blues who wish to attend and let them explain their actions and inactions.
Or in reality, await a heavily sanitised letter to whom it may concern, expressing condolences and hope that they can continue retirement in peace.

They'd need a bigger space.
They'd also need to accept that they have something to answer for.
I might be an optimist (of sorts), but even I've got my limits.
The way things are panning out, I don't imagine any of them will make any type of voluntary public comment any time soon, if ever.

I know, I know,
it was a dreamland statement, borne of my memories of being interrogated by these hypocrites for my trivial misdemeanors!

It's ironic that both Ampleforth and Downside are panned on the national television news on the very same day that Karim is sentenced.
They may be in different locations but the way that the abuse was dealt with was exactly the same as CH - the reputation of the Foundation overrides the welfare of the children being abused.
Those at the school who so obviously and badly failed the abused pupils should hang their heads in shame. But they won't.

Not ironic.
It was merely coincidental that Karim's sentence hearing fell on the day that iicsa had scheduled to publish their report on Downside and Ampleforth.
There will be a report on Lancing and Ball. CH may be included in that report or may get one of its own.

Re: Cairncross. I checked the Somerset journal (www.somersetlive.co.uk) that had asked her for a comment when Karim was convicted but they seem to be preoccupied with their local Downside news.

Cairncross is pretty active on Twitter. Maybe you could try asking her for comment on there?
My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

Cairncross refused to comment until Karim's sentencing, on the spurious grounds that she did not want to somehow influence the process. That has now taken place so it would be great if someone on twitter wanted to draw this to her attention!

I noticed that the fate of three Yemeni gentlemen was also posted on the same day in the Mail a few pices below Karim's report.
Different approach and homicide also involved, but in some countries rape carries much harsher penalties

Do you really mean twitter, Marty?
(It's all in the name. Transpose the W for an A. That'll do it !)

I really think the above example staff members will HAVE to comment after completion of all the cases.
Failure to do so in my book is admission of culpability.

Taitter? Or do you mean transpose the I?

I don't call it Twitter and the censor blocks my word so I'll do it like this so treat it as a typo.
