Daily Telegraph Saturday 15 September Independent School Guide page 10 features a pic of a happy-looking C.H. girl wearing bluecoat, bands and girdle. So far, so good - so traditional. Unfortunately, the skirt of the bluecoat is parted to show that she is also wearing very obvious jeans and short yellow socks (not stockings). Is this the new norm?

Perhaps that godawful uniform is being phased out, from the inside out?

I got away with wearing shortened tracksuit bottoms every now and then when coming/going to breakfast, dinner and Sundays, but I don't think anyone would have just worn jeans and hoped no-one would have noticed
