Old Blues who have worked at CH

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Old Blues who have worked at CH

Post by Great Plum »

How many Old Blues have worked at CH? I know of a number that have worked / are still working...

Howard Holdsworth (1966-73) (Staff 1992 - present)
Peter Newell (1992-99) (Security on and off from 2002 - present)
Tom Law (1992-99) (Theatre Manager 2006 -)
Debbie GP (1988-95??) (CHE 2000ish for a couple of years)
Charlie Farqueson-Roberts (1989-96?) (staff 2005 -)
Mr Whitehouse (unknown) - he taught CDT until the end of my 3rd form
Richard McDonald (unknown) - he taught French and was housemaster of Mid B until 1993
Adrian Bawtree - current Organist
Mr Kirby - he lived at CH pretty much all of his life didn't he?

Who have I missed out? Can anyone else fill in the gaps?

Be honest, you only wrote that lot so they wouldn't accuse you of "short Posts"

Plum - my dates are right. Staff dates were 99-02.

Charlie F-R and I were on the same year.

I can add:

Debbie Sellers (86-93) taught History around 2000-02
Jade Hamilton (89-96) worked in the Box Office around 2000

Wasn't John Shippen (Geography and Lamb B housemaster) an old Blue too?

Don't think so. Oddly enough - I dreamt about JDS last night. I dreamt I was driving him somewhere and he'd started off on one of his usual little stories. Bizarre. Less cheese before bed I think. Everytime I see a brie I can hear him bellow "don't circumcise the brie, boy"

And JDs wasn't an Old Blue - he went to Manchester Grammer - as he frequently told us!

A female OB 2's 67-74 or thereabouts was a doctor at Horsham for a while, I believe her husband was on the staff.

I cannot remember her name at the moment though I am sure it will come to me.

It didn't take long, her maiden name was Deirdre Pallister.

We had a couple of female OBs at Hertford of course as previously mentioned.

Joy Holmes and Katherine Betterton (her married name)

JDS would get very upset if you took the 'pointy bit' of the brie...
