I keep hearing that CH is having some very hot weather at the moment and the complaint is that students cannot work!!!
Here there is a cooling easterly wind to keep things comfortable, but even so, I find a sunny corner of the garden with a cool drink preferable to slaving at a PC.
Here are a couple of pics taken on my ohone a few minutes ago.
Devon has been bathed in glorious sunshine for some days now. I like it like this - it's too hot for me come July and August. We (meaning younger daughter and I) now spend lots of time playing in the park, pottering in the garden and generally avoiding doing anything that sounds like work! My feet are starting to go brown in between the straps on my sandals. Major excitement!!
Your 'spot' looks lush, DBTS.

Likewise! When I`ve not been "real-working" i`ve been in the garden intending to do some gardening - but the soils too hard - thats my excuse anyway.
Consequently the inside of the house is need of a bit of TLC - looks as though it hasn`t been dusted or hoovered for at least a month ( probably correct!), ironing not done for same length of time (not QUITE correct!)
Really must convince myself that this weather WILL last, or ,at least ,return, and that I do not need to spend every spare minute outside!
The best way to forget your troubles is to wear tight shoes.

If you spend the time outside, you don't create mess and dust inside to clean up! That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. Plus, wear one set of clothes for gardening, and the need for doing laundry is thus eradicated.

Certainly chillier here in leafy Surrey this morning. Arose at 6:30 to make a cup of tea to take back to bed; Opened the patio doors for the cats to go out after their breakfast.
2 out of the three joined us back in bed after they'd eaten so I knew it was colder.
We're off to Horsham this morning, so I think a jumper may be called for.
On sunday my parents said it was 21c in CH at about 11am then when they got to us in Kent it was 15 brezzy and overcast! I am contemplating get tights on again but that would cover up the brown legs i have managed to get already!
