Work visa due to expire and have to return to the UK soon.
Otherwise, all is good. I think I will be acclimatised by the time I leave. Portuguese language is finally getting learned to a useful level. Maybe I will go and work in Portugal. (although Portugal speaks the language slightly differently)

Totally different. We are good friends herewith a family from outside Lisbon but we have to talk in French. My secretary in London was Portuguese but couldn't translate documents coming from Sao Paulo
Having more money doesn't make you happier. I have 50 million dollars
but I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million.

Sadly I'm stuck in the library all weekend. Rubbish.
"All I need to be happy is a little house with a small yard, a white-picket fence, some trees in the yard, and some of my enemies hanging on the trees."
My friend at work came in last Friday to say her boyfriend was doing an Italian cookery course in Tuscany and would she like to join him.
We checked the weather 30 degrees and sunny and by 0945 we had booked her on a flight to Pisa on Sunday afternoon arriving 45 minutes after he did (just time for him to pick up the car).
She came in yesterday with such a big grin on her face. Apparently the weather had not been good, but between the boyfriend, the food he cooked and the trips they took (Up the leaning tower even) she had had a great time.
"If a man speaks, and there isn't a woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"
oh it was torture! had to stay inside in the library to revise, only going out for breaks oh well as long as the weather is nice after tuesday i don't care!

As the children start the new half term at school, the weather is glorious. Of course. Blue skies, warm sunshine, a beautiful early summer morning. Just the sort of morning to go to the park or have an outing. But no, the little darlings will be cooped up in their classrooms.
