Kathleen Stewart-Smith - Ffinch 1916 - 1924 Ward 4
At ninety eight Kathleen is enjoying her retirement in Surrey despite her failing sight and hearing.
Not quite the oldest but hanging in there.

Nice to be remembered. Recently retired (well semi-retired) Also doing some voluntary work for D of E award and for the YHA. Must try to get down to Horsham next year. Hope to see you then.
Just come across Philip Mayne, who got a write up in the Spring 2005 Kings College Cambridge review, having completed 105 years. It says he missed his final term at CH because of the war, presumambly 1914 - 18

Just received a cutting from the Yorkshire Post which shows 2 of the WWI veterans meeting for the first time ever.
One of them is Philip Mayne, OB.
It also mentions that if he survives to be the last WWI to die, he may be buried in state, in memory of all his fallen colleagues.
