Did putting English infront actually stop the spanish enquiries? My wife and I have a joint email account that we thought couldn't be confused with anyone, it is amasedo. Sure enough, we get a few contacts from Spain asking for someone called Enrique

I don't know about you but after a while I found myself thinking of learning Spanish just to make sense of their posts/emails!

Here is a little tribute which can be added to the others placed within this thread. (...... and I did warn you that you might not like it!!! )

We've now reached number eight of those who sit up late
Throughout the hours of darkness that they keep,
Though her eyes appear to roll, she's a kind and gentle soul
Plucking Grecians from their duvets as they sleep.
In the forum she's a force that's never rude or coarse
But she sometimes posts in threads that are absurd
Such as those concerning cars, when those eyes light up like stars
Or in Mallet's Mallet where she adds a single word.

Never happened in my day

We had an old gent who told us to "Show a leg"
This phrase came from the old days in the Royal Navy where
they wanted to find any ladies hiding in the sailor's beds before embarking on a voyage.

I suddenly understood why people who sail talk of little else

I ended up taking a Victorian wooden boat out to sea from Anglesea

No engine - if you get in trouble you row!

I enjoyed every second and would love to do it again

Yes, I'm glad you enjoyed your introduction to sailing - it certainly is a great pursuite and, as I said before you are welcome aboard any time you can find a little free time to come this way. Preferably bring one or two others - there is plenty of room as the boat (theoretically! ) sleeps 11. She has not been mine for the last few years, but I still have the use of her.

yeah I've heard that "Show a leg" thing too... can't think where!
