WOW! That would be something. Perhaps worth a topic all on its own. There has been a lot on here about all this sort of thing. One day I hope somebody can categorise and concatinate all the interesting material here for the archives.

Brilliant news all those who got their big packages today - I can still remember that feeling :D

Fingers crossed for all those still waiting - I hope your big packages arrive tomorrow!

Can't believe the lovely Mrs Brakes is still there - I'm sure she was retiring years ago. She's absolutely the loveliest women there :)

Hello, I have a very happy daughter with a "Big package" letter! Was lovely letter from the Head too.
I'm new to all this and have been coming on here to find out as much as possible the last year.
It's been a great help! Wishing everyone good news if they didn't get their letter today .
I'm estatic and scared all the same time! Daughter is just estatic. ! I'm very proud .Best wishes everyone

Also had a good letter today. Fortunately for the postman he escaped being snogged as I was not there when it came.We are so happy.

I have "browsed" this Topic with interest,--------

Having read the subjects included in the Tests ------

In 1940 I would have failed miserably ---- many of them didn't exist then !! :oops:
Being a Geriatric has it's advantages :lol:

Come to think of it -- I DID fail -- having come fourth in a competitive exam for three, to go to CH.
One of the "Three" died in the first Blitz, they took number Four, so I squeezed in !! :oops: :oops:
