He'll be back, one handed, within a week ... won't you, JR? Even if you are unable to use your dominant hand. You'll be surprised how quickly you develop coping strategies for e.g. intimate cleaning etc. Poor, longsuffering Jan!
In the meantime we will all be thinking of you on Monday.

Great Plum wrote:Josh... as you know, I went to Exeter and it is a fantastic place... Mrs Plum also read Theology there... Don't discount it - go to an open day at least!
Oh, I'm applying all right! Just not one of my favourites, that's all...

My Godson just got a First in Theology from Durham. I think Durham rates highly especially in Theology. Hope that's on your list too, Josh?

You bet! In the front rank, no less! - though they want a bit more than I'm predicted so it'll be a stretch. Oh well, not to worry!

(of course, they have an assassins' guild as well...:D)

Will be thinking of you on Monday John - had my carpal tunnel & trigger finger done last year - amazing what a handicap it is with the use of only one hand.

A little news: I went to my taster day at Chichester today, and it was lovely! Especially those chocolate cookies, and the sandwiches are really tasty! So that's a plus. Everyone was so welcoming, and it was all very interesting and informing! Chi, btw, have offered me 220 UCAS points for a place - I did my maths and that's 3Ds, which seems ridiculous, until you take into account that I really do like Chichester, at which it just becomes really funny! So while everyone sweats over their AAA requirement for Oxbridge, I've got this :)

I also got a BBB from Exeter, so I'm going to bust down there at some point to take a look at it. Apparently it's 12th in the RAE table for Theology, and people have strongly recommended it - as well as Mr. Plum!

Still waiting on Durham and Edinburgh, and I have an interview Tuesday for Cliff College...

Edit: Cliff College, not Cambridge. Don't know where that came from...

I'm so glad you had a good time at Chichester today, Josh (and I am sorry that because it was Saturday, I was not there to see you myself). From the inside I know that our Theology course is good and that our students do well. If you end up coming to us (after your gap year) I am sure that you will not regret it in later life.
Keep us posted!

The idea of a three-day week appealed: no Mondays, no Fridays and, most importantly, no Saturdays!

Ahh the beauty of university...in my 3 years at demontfort i never had a 9am lecture and i always had either mondays or fridays off-one term in my second year i had both off!!!

I applied for chester college and went to the taster day and loved it.... I had Demontfort as my back up and i went there for an interview/taster day and as soon as my dad drove down the street the uni is based around i just knew i was meant to be there!!!
