by the by everyone, would it be worng of me to post my religous studies coursework question up, as i need Christian Perspectives on bits of it, but have no time to properly interview anyone.

anyway coursework is brilliant if you're someone like me who tends to get severely paniced by exams! History Coursework was THE best as if we hadn't finished it we could go sit in our deputy head/histry teachers office and do it whenever we wanted. He'd give us sewwts and biscuits and tell us stories about his pet monkey charlie! plus for my first set of RS C/w i went to a church and the vicar let me try on all his cloaky things and play on the organ! it's a real shame it's being got rid of, it's really fun!

Not just first milk from a cow after calving, Josh! Colostrum is the highly concentrated initial secretion of the breasts of a new mother, and very good for a baby! On day three she produces normal breast milk. Where is Mary V when you need her?

Cheers! It must pertain to all mammals - I remember it from when our sheep were lambing. However I did feel rather like a dairy heiffer last time with Cora when I had to express because of bleeding nipples. Oh the joys to look forward to in August. I guess I should start applying the surgical spirit now.

As for sore pointy bits - NZ remedy is lanolin. Can't stand the stuff myself.

Having worked for a company that processed colostrum I often had to write documents that included the word.

Our Lab Manager (a chauvinistic, bullying bas^ard) always corrected my use of 'colostra', and since I'm sure that he had never had a Latin lesson in his life, I wasn't happy about agreeing with him.

I'm a great believer in going round bullies/walls/other obstacles, rather than trying to go through them, so used to compromise with 'colostral samples'
