Caught one edition of the new version - it confirmed what I had long felt that CH and its reputation was greatly enhanced by the whole experience. The contrast between our 'ordinary' children and these 'ordinary' children could not be more stark.
I look after University entrance at CH and all the discussion I have had with admissions tutors (who watched the first series) confirm that it did our pupils a power of good.
I know others have mixed feelings, but on balance I think our name and reputation was enhanced worldwide.

I see they have been throwing the cameos in this new series...
This week had the guitarist from Black Sabbath and next week they have Suzi Quattro...
Interesting that Gene picks out the kid who is 'different' from the crowd to be vocalist (I assume it is noly a matter of time before Little Chris takes that mantle)

Yeah, I spose the 'different' kid makes good watching. No-one really wants to watch kids who are all 'the same'. Good tactics I guess!
