Well I'm obviously losing the Marmite debate, but it's bitter all the way.
Except with a curry when Indian lager can be drunk.
See I'd run this country much better than the current government. You really need so few rules...

Bitter all the time but there are two exceptions:
1. If you are in Belgium...
2. If it's insanely hot...

Hot toast buttered, so it melts, before applying lashings of Marmite in the winter.
Fresh bread and Marmite and lettuce sarnies in the summer !
Vegemite ?? Yuk ! Trust the Ozzies ! As good as their 4X lager, (called XXXX because they can't spell LAGER !)

Another debating issue: Lager or bitter?
Bitter (real preferably) for me unless it is really, really, HOT when an ice cold lager can be palatable.
I think we have done this elsewhere. I agree with Richard though.
Lager with a curry too.

1) OK. Never been so can't comment.

Yep a bottle or 3 of Cobra is not bad with a curry. You could argue though that falls into the category of really, really, hot

Yeah, Cobra's good. Was just trying to get the Plum to agree that drinking lager's ok with curry. Think I got there in the end...!

Ha
but I'm still not sold on cold lager when it's really hot. I'm still with the real ale I'm afraid.

99.9% of the time I'm the same but just occasionally when it's up in the 90s farenheit a cold lager is good. Decent one mind.
