I think that this would change the nature of the session somewhat! It would end up more like a Village People convention......

I think I read somewhere that the garments JR describes are known as "mumblers".
why?

So you can not only see the sex of the person wearing it but \lso the religion!!

That makes a change, given who you work for !!!!

Mumblers Mmmmmm !

Shades of Jade Goody's memorable remark on BB.

"Ere !! I'm showin' me kebab !!"

Not only your gym, Marty. The swimming pool here has ladies only sessions and one of the car parks in Exeter has a ladies only area, which I always think makes it much easier for any prowling rapist to find as it's highlighted in day-glo letters. And I'm sure I've seen 'nite' clubs advertising free drinks to girlies on certain evenings. I guess it stemmed from the 'reclaim the night' thesis. Conversely, I have been very heartened to see 'parent & baby' areas on my travels with the smallest Standing, rather than just 'mother & baby'. So maybe that goes someway to redress the balance?

What happened in Plymouth yesterday, apart from the fact that's it's a sh1t-hole?

When No 1 son was a baby (he is now 20) they had Parent and Baby rooms in the shopping centre in Milton Keynes. Husband asked why it didn't say 'Mother and Baby'. We very nearly didn't have any more. :)

I can't get over some of the facilities you are expected to be grateful for if you want to breastfeed. One large department store (no names) provides one chair in one cupboard, with no light. And you wonder why that doesn't encourage new mums to breastfeed?

I just got on with it with No 1 son, but as it is impossible to feed twins without over-exposure I was confined to barracks for 4 months as I had a 3 year-old as well and if I had tried to feed away from home he would have headed off to the horizon.

What about these "women only" car insurance companies that seem to have sprung up?
Whilst it may be a proven fact that women have fewer accidents whilst driving, I think it`s unfair a) that women pay less for car insurance generally, and b) that there should now be women only companies.

(Not that I`ll be complaining about lower premiums when I get my car insured for my daughter to drive!!)

On the other hand, how many Golf Clubs, e.g. are still Men only?? ( No, I don`t play golf !)

err, no. blacks are at least a minority and feel underepresented. women make up 52% of the population!

it is sexist. it may well be something to do with muslim women. a local swimming pool near here was being heckled by the muslim community (and gave in, before being heckled more by everyone else) to have one evening a week where only muslim women could swim.

now THAT is rediculous

indeed - and I trust that all the non-muslim women will immediately lodge a complaint !

otherwise, we will then have to plan for :
- jewish women
- christian women
- buddist women
- atheist women
- transgender women
- lesbian women

... and that's the week gone, so no men in the pool at all ( unless you count the transgender) - and I am sure there are at least as many other minority/religious groups for which we have to cater ( e.g. Shii and Sunni muslims may wish to segregate, idem for Catholics and Protestants, the possibilities are endless).
We would then have to build a second pool for the various men's groups...

All in the name of political correction ...
