I have a feeling that Clarkson's version of what happened was somewhat earthy in tone and content.

Thank goodness - being totally nice to someone in a coma often doesn't work - there was a case of a young boy who had been in a coma for weeks, his mother and father had tried everything they could being nice and kind, etc.. then in frustration his mother shouted "for F's sake wake up and get up you lazy *****" - with that he opened his eyes! and soon after was discharged - hence parents are told to talk as they normally do as it is the only way to get the brain to restart it's message links. Jeremy did the right thing - spoke to Richard as he does in everyday life! I'm surprised he didn't ask why his teeth were so white still!!

So the moral of the story is to call the patient every name under the sun!

The only trouble with this plan is that you need the bed next to the patient when he comes to and punches your lights out.

I hear that the start of the new series is on hold though...

I can imagine the 3 of them testing mobility scooters or something!

Well Hammy has sort of touched that one in Brainiac when he used a couple of CO2 extinguishers to propel his wheelchair down the road.

I must try that myself

That sounds brilliant - I've only watched a little of Brainiac but it looked hilarious!

Hamster is now on a general ward. The show has been postponed (indefinately) it was due to start 8th October, but as he is unlikely to be back running around the BBC have decided to postpone it - even though most of the filming has been done - There is now a massive debate as to whether hamster should be allowed to return to Top Gear, and if they should ever be allowed to drive fast again - All I can say - is that if the BBC axes it the trio will move to another channel who will get massive ratings and we will refuse to pay our BBC liscense! Short sighted knee jerk reactions often end in disaster.

If he wants to rejoin Top Gear then he should...

As for axing Top Gear - don't be ridiculous!

Go read the BBC stuff on the box or in the net.....

All I can say is that it proves so seriously that the HEALTH and SAFTEY of this drive WAS BEYOND EXCELLANT - if 30 hrs after a crash that most people would be dead at half that speed - he managed to walk and talk then it proves that the H&S was up to scratch. Really the BBC should take this as a pat on their backs - but no - it looks likely that presenters will not be allowed to do their own driving again - ARGH!

It was an awful accident-i think the BBC have maybe gone slightly over the top. All three of them know exactly what they agree to do and what could happen, there have been many a clip where i have wondered how some of them have not been injured. In my opinion getting a celeb to drive round the track fast is bordering upon rather dangerous and could pose serious H&S issues but they seem to be queing up to do it.

It was awful im glad he is on the mend and i think that although they were right to hold the series for a while i imagine the Hamster will be desperate to get back on the show. As for them not being allowed to do their own driving well that takes away a fundamental aspect of the show!

In all honesty it is a prgamme for sad people like me who enjoy blowing things up. What made the show great was Hammy's utter joy at doing all of the ludicrous things they did. That and Jon Tickle walking on swimming pool of custard

yes that was funny!

The hamster loves caravans too - just like Jeremy Clarkson - like them so much to blow them to next week! However, it has made science for younger viewers more fun.... ( although I suspect they think it;s daft whilst we more matrue viewers think it's great!)
