"dogruff" - any suggestions for definitions??
A canine male considered by females to be a bit of a jack-the-lad. The sort of dog that has coarse fur, a reputation for sniffing other dogs' backsides and chasing milkmen as well as postmen. Is nevertheless deemed attractive by female canines for his rebellious streak, especially if he refuses to fetch sticks.

Buy a Sunday newspaper, then. I think that most of them have a TV guide which falls out of the main paper along with the other detritus.....

NO! I hate detritus and don't like the papers much either. I object to free CDs, DVDs, posters, etc. And I can't get through a whole Sat or Sun paper in a week. So they collect. And get in the way. And it's not good for the environment. Sorry, probably way off topic. When are those progs on though? What day? Then I'll shut up and go away. Thanks.

Q.I. is on Friday at 10.00 p.m. (BBC2) , and HIGNFY is on Friday at 9.00 p.m. on BBC 1.

For future reference, the BBC website is very helpful!

I have so much sympathy with this. I have now stopped all papers - local and national - and we just occasionally allow ourselves the treat of buying a paper which then lasts us at least a week. Even so, much of the gubbins that comes with it has to be discarded unread.

The radio 4 6.30pm slot has things like the News Quiz, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and Just a Minute which can provoke similar outbursts.
