I think that`s partly why the houses aren`t being let out in the holidays now.

(That and there's no CHE or equivalent)...

Yes, PGL were a nightmare if i recall... a famous (and possibly untrue story) was that one of the housemasters who lived in the attached house had a moan and when the then head of CHE was discussing this with him outside the house, the PGL kids started throwing things at them out of the dorm windows, including used condoms...

Oh dear. My daughter didn't do that. She was pony-riding in Wales at the age of 13 and I think the worst thing they threw out of a window was the bra of one of the girls who kept moaning.

I think the isue at CH was that the kids were aged 11 up to about 16/17 and the staff looking after them were only about 18/19 - indeed, a few of the staff popped around to one of my house parties if I recall...

Does anybody know when this photograph was taken?
The lake by 'The Doctor's House' is really in a sorry state.

That must have been taken in the summer of 2001 or so I think as I think that was the dates when the houses were being built at the back of Lamb...

Doctor's Lake has a lot of lillies on it at the best of time but it does look rather green with algae there... (as does the old Carp Pond in the Bluecoat Pnd development!)
