Well done Amy - great news!
I never called Angie my fiancee - it sounds too pretentious... Neither did I call her my partner as that made me sound gay... I just called her my girlfriend until I got married...

Thank you veryeon for the congratulations, i am thourgouhly enjoyuiung telling everyone.
By the time i got home from my holiday where it happened my parents had told just about everyone.
Mrs C i am surprised you didnt already know from my father, he managed to tell most of CH i think! (i think he is very proud, as is my mum).
I tried fiance but that sounds funny, i think future hubby may surfice

Congratulations!
But why oh why oh why, it will cost a fortune, there are no tax advantages, and therefore there is no financial payback or break-even analysis which could possibly justify the expense
(you can tell I am an economist with no sense of romance, but after 18 years, 2 huge mortgages and 2 children, why bother!!)
Good luck to you and your intended, I hope the wedding plans go well, don't think about the 'afterlife' until you get there

Because it is a wonderful way to show your commitment to each other in front of all those who care and mainly because im female and have been pallning this day since i understood what it was!
