Quite possibly, IF the data has got into the wrong hands, but it is quite likely that the envelope is down behind a filing cabinet. (thwew speaks a former civil servant).
Does anyone else think the latest "promise" to increase the amount of Tamiflu etc in case of a flu epidemic is an attempt to take the heat off Darling, or is it just the paranoid O'Riordans?
If, as has been alleged, this fiasco started back in March then there is somebody even more important than Darling potentially implicated!
So to answer your question yes! The government is spinning furiously to divert attention from this and Steve Mc Laren has done it for them.

I suspect the first option.
I note the recent silence about allegations that the flu jabs that you and I and other people at risk received are useless - something different was raised to obscure that scandal.
In any case there have been suggestions that Tamiflu does not work on Bird Flu if it mutates into the human transmissible form so I suspect that the announcement is simply a blind. How effective it is on other strains of flu I don't know.
