I think we can all feel for her. Some people are better at hiding their feelings than others; that she appears brittle does not mean that other members of the family do not feel the same way.
We go to my son's grave every month and even 8 years afterwards my wife gets a bit damp eyed. There will be "memorable" dates (for us the 1st July, 14th and 22nd December) and other people who know about it will merely accept that we get a bit withdrawn.

Quite honestly, I don't know what anyone can do to "help" except let us get through it in our own ways. It will get better but it takes a long time.

The inquest was yesterday and the coroner recorded that he took his own life, apparently the word suicide is not used now. My sister is glad that it is now over, she is very busy with her work and trying to cope with life without him.
