A lot of first time Mums go home the next day. Not so bad if they have help but I think it is a bit soon especially if help is needed withbreast feeding

I have to admit, whilst im sure to be at home would better, I would think that in those first few days when everything is a bit daunting and new to be in the hospital just in case would be very re-assuring. You know that if anything should happen your in the best place. But as I have not been through it myself yet who am i to say, except based on what seen from others around me having babies

Unfortunately, every extra hour spent in a hospital these days is an hour nearer an infection. Bad enough in itself, but with a baby ???

Well, most new mums at East Surrey only stay one night... there were thoughts that Angie would have to stay in 5 nights but frankly, you can't sleep or do anything on a hospital ward and poor old Joshua was tongue tied too - he's sorted now... the best place for them was home really!

I think you are and will continue to be a wonderful Dad, Matt!
Congratulations again to both you and Angie, and may all go very very well from now on, for all three of you!
I'm going to try and find the pics. on Facebook (even though I am signed up, most of it feels like a foreign country to me....)

Have you all noticed that clearly Little Plum has taken over from this site in filling Plum's time? It may give the rest of us a chance to catch him up on posts :)

Of course Little Plum should take over --- Life revolves (For several reasons !) round young babies.
Our latest Grandchild --- Joshua --- is now 5 months and we are still drooling.
BTW. Mum Julia was VERY careful to pick her Hospital, as 1st child at 40 she was cautious, expecting a Cesearian -- and Got it. ! -Being trained at Great Ormond Street, and having a Master's in Nursing, --- we didn't dare to offer advice !

Don't do it Kerren (Facebook) - it is totally addictive (rather like this forum and Freecell). It turns otherwise sane human beings into drooling idiots - but that is just my personal opinion of course!
