One might be from me giving a straightforward, polite, non-controversial, unthreatening and non-religeous answer to the question in your previous post! I did have a bit of a problem in that the unfinished message was seized by the board gremlins but also remained on my screen. I completed the message, rid it of many of the typos, bugs etc and deliberately posted it. Checking my outbox I found both so I deleted the unfinished message and left the correct one. It is marked as sent at 7.10pm on Friday so ...... OK so I can't speel "sorry" and I still can't remember the name of the Swedish Head of the UN

No fatwah from me - I promise.

A non political reply is :
The MP for Brentwood and Ongar, Shenfield Ward is Eric Pickles.
He has a second home in Wapping, although his main home is in Brentwood.
He was challenged on this, during a Question Time Programme
The Leader of the Brentwood Opposition (Lib Dem) has stated that this is unneccessary, since he is 37 miles from London, and can catch a train.

This being "Non Political" I offer no comments.

If your Postal Vote, is not getting to you in time, the local Council is legally at fault, and a written complaint to the MP will stir trouble !

Continue to be Cynical --- with my Blessing !

This is just a continuation of the Expenses scandal in that it is a situation engineered by MPs and which could easily be de-engineered if they honestly wanted to; why don't they?
The House sits late into the night instead of at normal hours so that the trains have stopped by the time MPs want to go home. (That said, I have heard of MPs who enjoy the company in Westminster hostelries and eating places until a bell is rung for a vote - maybe the rumour has a little bit of accuracy). Therefore they "need" a bed close to London instead of getting a scheduled train home like any normal person. Therefore they can get a second pad, claim all sorts of costs and when they retire, hope to sell it at a whopping profit.
Having more money doesn't make you happier. I have 50 million dollars
but I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million.
