Loved Asphalt cricket....broke at least a couple of windows in my time

I wonder if anyone plays asphalt cricket anymore and if not when did it die out?
The other great evening activity in the winter (Saturday only) was "rounds" ie a fast and furious version of table tennis involving the majority of the house in the day room. The game was played around one of the long tables usually used for prep.
I may be showing my age, but I think it must have been much more fun than three litres of cider and vomiting over a tree as described on another thread.
Better stop now or someone will call me Victor Meldrew (family already do).

We used to play "round the table" table tennis as well in Maine A. If you missed or fluffed your shot you were out and eventually you were left with a winner.

You mention elsewhere turning up in Barnes B in 1965 which is when I started. I probably played both asphalt cricket and asphalt football against you as we often played Barnes B in my early years.

We still played ashphalt cricket when I was at CH in the 1990's...
