yep, 12.30 weekdays, hosted by Eamonn Holmes.

The team which won today were fantastic, streets ahead of the teams from the rest of the week.

I don't understand soduku - and am being careful not to do so !
Cricket is a great game, but I do remember the absolute bewilderment of my husband the first time that I took him to a game ( the man's french, remember) - he could not understand what was going on, despite ( or perhaps because of ) my explanations - he said it was proof, if such needed, that the english are mad...

Does anyone else remember this? (??? sponsored by Watneys or maybe Whitbread)
I think you are referring to the single wicket competition. Each first class county sent a representative and they played each other on a knockout basis over 6 overs if I remember rightly.

They only did it for a year or two and I believe Garry Sobers won it at least once.

that is sexist - I claim the right to just as much eccentricity and mental alienation as anyone else ! ( sometimes my mind doesn't just wander, it leaves completely...)
And don't forget we played cricket too...

But those of us who watched one life the other night know that we can now blame it all on our testosterone.

Okay, who in the hell made sudoku popular in the west? Whoever it was is a sadist! One of my daughters challenged me to have a go. Now I am hooked on the damn things. Why can't I put them down. Is there a cure for being a sad old git?

HELP (again)

Hate sudoku
Like chess
Like telegraph crossword
Don't particularly like watching cricket - I reckon cricket's a bit like fishing - people actually just go to sit and peacefully quaff a few beers in the sunshine.....

My now ex-husband, who was then my still to be husband, took me to a Ladies Night at Lords - Masonic Ladies not Cricket Ladies. Friend Ali was wearing a floor length white gown, and after disappearing for some time with her partner, reappeared with a bright green stain down the back of the gown.

They had been unable to resist christening (?)/desecrating (?) the crease.

Can't think of a Suduko equivalent.
