Ours were definitely similar at Hertford. My year actually had to spend a whole term using the museum (where these desks were) as our form classroom in my first year at Hertford because one girl broke her leg in the gym & couldn't get up the stairs.

Anyone seen this, then?
I am bidding... but it's frustrating that the seller is hiding the bidders' identities. As far as I can see from their profiles, the other two bidders are antique dealers - no sign of any Old Blue purchases......

I would reckon the main bidders are definitely dealers.

Surely, this is something the School should place an inflated offer for, so it could be housed, RIGHTFULLY, in the school museum ??

If I am successful, that's where it will end up (when I am no longer here....). But I guess I won't be successful.. .. sadly.
Also sadly I don't think the school per se is in the market for buying back stuff...although I know of at least one other person who is buying on eBay with a view to giving his collection to the Museum when he passes on.
I guess there aren't many other schools with so prolific a market on eBay!

A few years ago I was at the Great Dorset Steam Fair and there was a stall with second hand books (not just paperback trash). They had a lot of books on CH, and I think I bought some. The woman in charge said she had known nothing of the school when she acquired the books but everywhere she went at least one OB would come to talk to her about the school and the books.

No. The bids doubled from what I had put on auctionsnipe, and went down at £285 to someone who has been buying Victorian paintings.
Oh dear. Way beyond my league.. and what a pity that this person (probably...) is not an Old Blue!
But maybe they are and are not telling us!

Yes, I have seen this before. Last time it went down at around £10-£12. Let's see what happens this time!
Good idea for those who are currently thinking about a new range or branded merchandise...

You shouldn't talk about Mr. C in such a fashion, Mrs. C !!

Presuming it's a CH one (and not your hubby) - where did you get it from?
