Yes, Louise's sister came back to school on Sunday night with everyone else thankfully.
Louise is still very hot this morning. Fingers crossed that by the end of the day we can see that this new combination of antibiotics is beginning to work for her.

Piggy Flu isn't quite so bad here, yet, but paranoia levels are quite high (is it still paranoia if it's true? ).
Talking of paranoia, about an hour ago I had a phone call from my daughter's matron to say that she had my daughter in her office, feeling very unwell, having been sick twice in the night and all hot and sweaty. She is now tucked up in my flat and I will be checking on her frequently throughout the day. Please let it just be a sickness bug! :(

On no Barnes Mum; fingers crossed that it is indeed a short sickness bug and I hope she's up and about again very soon xx

Fingers crossed too for Louise and the new a/b regime

Sorry to hear about your daughter, Barnes Mum, & like you I'm hoping it's just a mini-bug. You've got enough on your plate already! Fingers crossed for Louise's new treatment.

Positive vibes for your daughter too, Barnes Mum. And I hope Louise responds to the new antibiotics. I think it's encouraging that Maidstone have admitted they don't know, and have asked the experts for advice.

Barnes Mum, would it be non-PC to ask how Louise's sister is coping with all this?

No news on Louise, or about BarnesMum's daughter.
Am concerned on both counts - positive vibes redoubled.

Thank you for your concern. Thankfully, although my daughter is still not feeling fantastic and has spent the day flopped in front of the telly and sleeping, I don't think she has Swine Flu, I think it's just one of the other bugs that seem to be going around at the moment.
I have just spoken to Michele. The physio has just been to see Louise and was trying to get her up and moving. She had a couple of chips and a piece of carrot for lunch, so that's progress. The nurses are also trying to encourage her to drink some 'build up' drinks to build up her energy. Her temperature hasn't been so high overnight so maybe this is a sign that the new combination of antibiotics are the right ones.

Thank you Barnes Mum for taking the time to keep in touch!. I am very glad that your daughter looks to be OK. It does seem as if Louise might be beginning to make progress. Let's keep praying.....and please do give my best wishes to Michele when next you speak to her.

Glad to hear some positive news on both counts. Barnes Mum tell your daughter to keep her germs to herself, I don't want my daughter coming back home before end of term

After the deep clean my daughter is very pleased that showers in Barnes work much much better, wonder what they did to them - descaled or something else???
