I don't know what you found as she was driving you to Paddington.
I found that on the couple of times she took us out on Long Saturday she was quite human.
I assume she is still alive in the nursing home near Seaford.
She could vary so much, at times she was very human, other times ..... I don't remember much of the drive! I must say that I hadn't heard of her taking anyone out on a Long Sat, I was always on exeat. My parents lived in Hertfordshire the whole time I was at the school, first of all in Harpenden and then later near Ware. I'm sure we would have heard had she died, Kerren Simmonds would be the one to know. She must have just overlapped with you in 2s.
Just remembered buying the ticket to go to Ireland, I bought it myself from a travel agent in Hertford, a single ticket to Enniscorthy, as I was returning with my parents. The agency decided to ring the school before selling it, in case I was running away. They obviously did not credit us with any intelligence!!!

Yes, Kerren was Upper Sixth the year I started.
Stephanie (?)and Joanna Yates who went on to be one of the first ordained women I believe.
I think there would be an obit on the CHA/Old Blues site and probably in the Telegraph as well.

Not slang and not CH but, when my sister went to buy an expensive watch with her 21st birthday money the woman in the shop asked her if her parents knew she was spending that much money.

According to my elder brother Chelsea was named for graffiti on the wall.
The name of the area lasted longer than the graffiti.
Or the bush for that matter

Sorry if this has already been said, but did anyone else notice how all the smokers' bushes' names began with C? Apart from Music School Bush.

What was the name of the area near the Pavillion at the Barnes/Maine end of the Quarter Mile?

Don't know where you mean exactly, but I'm not sure anywhere there had a name.
Oh, do you mean that strange triangular bit of ground where maybe they built Grecians East or West, West I suppose it would be?
There was a path through the middle and almost hedges down 2 sides.

I've never seen any of that. What a shame.

Well post-DNP and some of us having free run of the theatre 24/7 I suspect that blows out every fail safe spot that I would list. I mean that place had a good 50 safe spots
