Do you mean Ham and Eggs, or Ham and Pineapple? Ham Sandwich is in Kent ....

I think She must still be off-line, but they are in East Devon bandit country. No Ham for miles.

Now that it's all over bar the shouting, I can reveal that all that wheel-spinning and gong-banging backfired on me.

Thanks to a lying toe-rag of a landlord (a Brit - may the fleas of a thousand camels infest his armpits), our second house in six months has been sold from under us, so we are about to embark on our third move in 18 months...

Heyho!
I'm catching up on all the Forum items I've been missing! And what could be more alarming than Philip and Mrs Ajarn obliged to move in this way?

Philip, I owe the smoothness of our house move to your kind interventions - keeping the prayer wheels spinning - now, how may I reciprocate? There are no prayer wheels in the Exe valley as far as I know, but even if my general spirituality is, er, a bit on the low side, I am thinking, willing, even imploring a kindly Universe to rectify the situation imposed on you by the lying toe-rag.

Love, Angela

Firstly cj (and off topic) congratulations

Just come back to this thread and like a lot of my posts the answer to the above seems to have disappeared in to the far yonder so I'll try to explain again. Just as Yorkshire has three Ridings (and presumably some horses) so Devon has three "Hams"; I never really knew but I suspect that it is West Hams which is missing. I was brought up in the South Hams.

I watched the repeat of Bill Baileys 'Half Troll' stand-up show last night.

He's brilliant.

Keeping to topic..... he said.

"A devout vegan won't even drive through a town with HAM in its name" ! Classic.

Off topic a bit.... saw that show live about 3 years ago, literally laughed until I hurt. It was an excellent night out.
