Had to go and see the pencils again yeterday and we HAD to walk through the middle of them as is the custom now
Got sent for an xray when we got there & then got to see a specialist (our appointment was for the staff nurse though
) - looks like the bone is healing well and she has been booked in for afternoon surgery (and an overnight stay much to her delight) for the 19 Sept. School will have restarted by then so madam will be missing a couple of days and we will have to juggle things a bit so my other daughter won't miss school. The summer before last my nephew (then 14) got home from school on the last day of the summer term at 3.30, did a paper round delivering the local rag and set off on his bike to a friends house at 4.30.
At 4.45 my sister got a call,, he had fallen off on the way and broken his arm just below the elbow, a really nasty break, bones sticking out etc. etc.
Unlike Venny's littl'un they just put it in plaster. Two weeks later when they x-rayed it it was all out of alignment so they had to take him to theatre, re-break it and pin it. The poor chap was in plaster the entire summer holidays. He is extremely fit and active and nearly went mad.

Well we have our bags packed for the next visit to the "Flying Pencils." Have to go in on Tuesday at 10.30 am according to the drs we spoke to or 11am according to the letter we received Also my daughter is not allowed anything to eat after 6am according to the drs or 10am according to the letter - ARGHHH. Going to stick to the 6am thing I think.

Taking eldest daughter to fracture clinic next Tuesday morning.
After the weekend I've just had, the slightest off hand remark or fobbing off will be greeted with my best reposte.
'Did you train in Auschwitz, by any chance ?'
'Did you really know Dr Mengele personally ?'
'Wasn't Zyklon B originally designed to kill lice ?'
I've got loads of 'em.
The NHS has been developed to help all those free-loaders from abroad who reckon they are in great danger at home. YEAH, RIGHT !!!

She's an FA 1 football coach and was demonstrating a reverse diamond box routine for defence. (Far too complicated to explain on here). She was running backwards, and turned, her heel slipped and she now has a fracture of the tibula, left leg.Vonny wrote:SorryJ.R. wrote:DON'T GET ME STARTED !
