Pigs' Room, Plum? :o :o :o

Whatever goes on here? Better call in on the Great Old Blues Tour!

It's the Monitor's room - it was the old tuck shop office - I don't know if it is still used as the Pig's Room...

IIRC an excellent source of contraband - or at least I didn't have to buy any smoking consumables in the last year, as there was always something that had been confiscated from an unfortunate/unsubtle LE or UF.

Hi,

I've got my first major exam tomorrow: Latin Language 1. I'm a wreck so I've put away all of my grammar and vocab and I'm having a break. If I don't know it now, I don't suppose I ever will.

xx

Good luck with the exam, Gemma - I'm sure it will go swimmingly.

Coleridge B sounds excellent - one current Col B girl has noted on this forum that Jonathan practically lives there!

Good luck to you - have an early night, a good breakfast in the morning and report back tomorrow. I remember sitting my Latin O level and GCSE in Big School. Would be 20/21 years ago now. Yikes! I did OK, much to my complete astonishment - revision consisted of sunbathing on Big Side whilst learning Caesar's Gallic Wars. Vitamin D is good for the brain, isn't it?

Check your maths, I was doing mine 20 years ago, yours were but 19.....

Thanks. Does midnight sound like a reasonable hour of bed

One thing I am surely happy about is that I get to take me A-Levels in a room that isn't a greenhouse. The Gym where we do the exams has one of the walls completely glass so that it is boiling hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter.

I'll report tomorrow but I bet that it will go terribly. I hope the people at CH at the moment doing Latin are having as much fun as I am :D .

I`ll be invigilating that exam - and I certainly WON`T be having fun!!

Good luck for all your exams Gemma.

I did Latin O level in 1987, GCSE (and AO I think?) in 1988 - sorry one year out.

Good luck with the exams Gemma!

My youngest daughter is doing her GCSEs this summer too.

She heard yesterday that she should have a double distinction for her BTEC Sports Science which will hopefully encourage her to keep plugging away with the revision.

From reading your posts you obviously have a brain and I'm sure you'll do well!

Good luck with the exams. Whilst my school days were some of the best of my life, the exam portions most certainly weren't!

Stretched out on Big Side with books around me, or sitting no the grass behind Maine B pretending to revise was fun - but always with the dark cloud of exams looking on the horizon....

I don't envy you now - but I do envy you the next two years at CH!

Good luck!

Couldn't agree more!

Good Luck with the Latin today. I managed to give up Latin after two years for something more appealing - food & nutrition :D

I've done it. :D
It was actualy surprisingly easy. Though I may have to retract that in August when I fail.

One down, a ridiculous amount left to go!!!. Spanish Listening next :( .
