nah, just start to sing out of tune and they would all run away - or we could practice using my piano - it plays 3 notes when you press middle C, Eb, G and upper Eb...
as I had (think I still have )perfect pitch it isn#'t being played much at teh moment - however, for those without instruments I can offer:
a recorder
a flute (silver - my daughters - but in a good cause she might lend it)
Clarinet
Glockenspeil
pan flutes
and a tin whistle

nah! it would only end in harsh voices!
For those without an instrument to accompany the new Forum Choir I have to lend:
silver flute (my daughters, she might be happy to loan it!)
clarinet
pan pipes
recorder
glockenspiel
and a tin whistle
for practice it would be best NOT to use my piano - as I get 3 notes for C, D#, G and upper Eb - less said the better as it pains me not to be able to play it, but there is no way with my shell like ears I could stand to hear those notes!

sounds good to me - we can be SO MUCH BETTER!!!!
oh and sorry about the double take - my pc fell over (it's copying me) and when I logged on again ther was no sight of what I had written - now it has appeared - very spooky!

NO no no we don';t want to be sinng Gobs!!! We are proud of being in this Forum are we not? we are the elite who have chosen to speak to others (as they speak untio us - JR!!!!) I like our little community - I don';t want ot go and sing madrigals..... boring, I was hoping we would get some good pieces of music together and roar our way through the CH Chapel!!

Let's not be exclusive about this. If the SOBS are out there and working, we should be supporting them as best we can not setting up in opposition.!
The problem may be that they practice regularly and have a geographical base which is too distant for many of us. If this is so (and I think it may be) then those of us in range should perhaps think of joining them, and the rest of us resign ourselves to the occasional meet of forum blues where we practice in the morning for an hour or so some well chosen pieces (well chosen meaning within our capabilities - not necessarily chosen by me!!!!!!) and give a mini concert to a selected audience of forgiving friends.

That certainly ouns like the most logical thing to do...

if any of the forum wanted to go and join them i think tey would already have done so and told us - as there are non, then I think we are going to have to go it alone - but off the oppertunity to the SOBS to join us for a one off - it if goes well then we could do it as an anuall or whatever ocassion..

To be honest, the reason I hadn't joined was purely because I didn't know they existed! However, I'm glad the CHA is around as now I know...
Doesn't stop us lot from having an informal sing song though!
