if you call me Ms it sounds to me like I'm separated or divorced. And I will hate you for it. I'm not even married yet, so give me a chance. If you don't know, find out. Or be polite and call me Miss until you know, however old I am.

No, because use of her personal name shows she is a woman in charge of her own destiny.

Hence, Princess Michael of Kent: Diana, Princess of Wales should really be not have been dian at all, just Princess of Wales: Lady Thatcher.

Well - instead of being lazy, people should find out. I would rather someone asked. When called Ms, a friend of mine launches into the statement "It's Mrs. I'm not a spinster, lesbian nor divorcée." Which seems a little harsh and not particularly PC - but there we go.

The whole thing reminds me that I was taught never, ever, ever to write to Dear Sir or Madam. Firstly because it looks sloppy as you've not made the effort nor taken the time to find out who they are (particularly poor show on job applications) and secondly because if you are writing to a faceless company (e.g. to complain), how can you chase up your letter if you don't know who you're wrote to, to begin with?

I hate Ms. i am miss and i must admit when i get married i will be sad to loose Leadbeater!

no deed poll req as changed by marriage

find a guy who likes your name

maybe he can call himself Mr Amy Leadbeater

Why not go for a double barrel name like Amy Leadbeater-skywalker?
