I thought I had better just say
years ago I was in Mid A
when at CH I loved my sport
but if naughty I always got caught
and sent to Clarrie or David Hay

I’m sure that in distant times past,
There was always one guy in the class
Who could make verses rhyme
Each and every time
But I really couldn’t be arsed.

re the old bogs:

The old bogs in art quad were rank,
all Old Blues agree that they stank.
A lamentable flaw,

just to stop people having a wa........ 'Barclays', as I have heard it described.

It seems quite a comment somehow
That the thread that's most active right now
Is about drunken states
That old pupils relate
Lots of sorrows to drown I would vow.

Is it right that I sense an unease
At this Forum, by those hard to please
Whose task to maintain
The Foundation's good name
Is not easy in times such as these?

The thread re 'the needy" 's confused
About how pupils can be refused
When some who have clout
Or can lay the cash out
Can all regular rules be excused.

The outlook would be loads more sunny,
if the school weren't so so sh!t with its money.
Though we rant and we curse,
no amount of good verse,
will make a topic like 'Need' very funny.

Well if that's meant to be a criticism of my posting on that thread, you're being a bit judgemental and not very perceptive. Limericks aren't all 'funny' funny. My limerick about need criteria was as much a critical comment of the process as yours. Ever heard of irony? Satire?

At CH, for wherever we turned
there was something we did
That a rule would forbid
And objections were generally spurned.

they must surely have been written by fools!
For if more rules you make,

so surely the fault was the school's
