mine could only nag me - it got to a point when they would both start asking for hte same thing - talk about being worn down!

Sarah is having a ball it seems - she was out night clubbing last night - and had been having fun during the day when I had to deal with her cat and a LIVE pidgeon!

Chris even came over with his girlfriend - and stayed for about 2½hrs.. I was rather stunned as I only saw him on Wednesday and the previous Sunday - ... I wonder if he had been "told"??

Kids still think they know better than their parents - Sarah only wanted me to "pop" backk up to Leeds to sort out the girls PC problems!

I just love watching the girls sit for ages working out a strategy to outwit us. They then wlak in all confident and hit us with the death blow and.......to their utter amazement we sit there and say....
We both tried that one on our parents and it didn't work then either!

yes - sort of been there done it got the NO and tried it anyway - then got the Blow of the cane.....

They will persist in thinking they know more than their Mum - and everyone knows that Mother Knows BEST!

I am a real sod to Loz (Lauren) our middle girl, she often sits there on the sofa working a new ploy out and I wait for her to get near to a solution. Then I pipe up with "that won't work either". I don't have a clue what she up to but for some reason she hasn't worked that bit out yet.

I usually manage to get away from the Grand-childrens begging by saying.............

"You do realise that when Grand-Dad is old and incapable, he's coming to live with you, don't you ??"

Works like a charm !

Now that's a good one, I think I will keep that one in my back pocket for the future.

But don't they come out with some gems at times ?

Babysitting the other day, Amber was playing one of her school games with me to determine what my 'future' occupation would be.

After working it all, Amber proudly announced, "You're going to be a clown, Grand-Dad !"

To which her younger brother Eddie who was sitting on the sofa, reading said quietly........

"He already is !!"

Best Larf I'd had in ages.
