As an engineer, I confess that I have never really understood punctuation. Therefore I have to say that I find the publication to be faultless!!!

I'd really like other Old Girls to write about their Hertford experience. I wonder if that glorious golden goddess Head Girl of 1964, Kathleen Dale, would write about her years at the School. Was she as conformist as she seemed, I wonder? Language mistress Brenda Griffith-Williams has tantalised us a little on the Forum with A View From The Red House. More, please, Brenda! And Maggie (midget), whose memories could be assembled into a fascinating article.

And of course, the reticent Miss Tucker, whose writings could be turned aside from her glorious retirement to thoughts about the CH to which she came in the 70's.

Hertford memories, experiences, procedures, opinions, rituals - unless they're recorded, they're gone!

The quote you are looking for, Neill, may be 'Fools step in, where angels fear to tread' .................... if the cap fits?!!!! It is always possible to fall back on that tried and tested excuse 'it is not my grammar and punctuation that are at fault - I am just not a proficient typist'!

My barbs were not aimed at Neill. (well not all of them anyway)

Not about NEILL ("Me, Me, Me!") and his idiosyncratic punctuation.

But about Hertford, now long gone, and the memories still to be recorded!

Um, er, well, the thread has kindof been hijacked by us (for a change?). bit might I suggest that Diana Garnham may have some very interesting things to say.

I read our copy last night, and whilst there`s a lot of excellent material in it, I found it rather "bitty" and quite difficult to follow at times, with ads all over the place, very few names at the end of articles...and I won`t mention the errors apart from a photo of Robert and Adam in which Adam is named "Daniel".
That is unacceptable.
I`m also not sure I like the muddling up of different types of articles , e.g an obituary between articles on the building programme and BSB
However, the quality of print and overall appearance is marvellous!

Have yet to listen to the CD but I`m sure it will be wonderful as ever!!

Note to INS --- plural nouns do NOT have an apostrophe!!!!
