Re Husband of couple number 1; Will Henry be negotiating a separate deal for the glamour model? Or is she part of fixtures and fittings?

Decision Time

The glamour model is called "Rachel Stevens". Her position is precarious. If Henry comes to Devon with us, of course she will be welcome!

If he stays in Kent (and moves in with his gorgeous girlfriend)she may well be not so popular.

Two viewings tomorrow! Agonising! Kay, would Sean permit sales reformation of his room do you think?

If he stays in Kent and Rachel finds herself homeless, I'll PM you my address. I've always been a sucker for strays.

Relief!

I'm sure "Rachel Stevens" would adore a trip to Thailand if she should find herself homeless! I don't know how Mrs Ajarn may feel about it though - although Rachel does look a nice sensible friendly person.

Many thanks, Philip!

House prices seem fairly static here- the house next door has just had its price reduced by £30,000. ( and they are on their 3rd estate agent)

I'd say that, given sufficient financial incentive, he'd accept moving out of his lair altogether and living in a wheelie bin.
Munch, I do hope tomorrow's viewings go well, and that they all get into an unseemly battle to give you far more than you are asking, with or without Rachel Stevens.
They do say that the smell of fresh coffee and baking bread helps....

Reduced by £30,000, Maggie! On 3rd estate agent! How interesting...

It's bicker bicker here - I want dream interesting house, current husband wants new house. I sense DIY refusenik fighting back.

Alex - see you on September 16th!

Kay - I baked an apple crumble for the last lot of viewers. It smelled delicious and I couldn't wait for them to go so that we could eat it. Thank you so much for your optimistic wishes!

Removal firms are posting fliers through the letterbox already and we're only just approving Venetia's details. It's like vultures circling.

That`s correct - my only "claim to fame" is that I used to teach Jon Lee who was also a singer with S Club - and his cousins were my daughter`s best friends at playgroup!

And I`ll keep my fingers crossed for you Angela - at least at CH we don`t have to fret about all that - they just tell us we`re moving and we have very little option! We`re on our 3rd place in 9 years. ( Fingers crossed, also the last now) And we`ve still got a loft full of clutter that came with us from Devon!

The outside of the house is being painted at the moment by a very nice chap called Ian - but he`s here so early! This morning I got up and found him working at the window of the bathroom - I didn`t want to frighten him with the sight of me in the shower so the shower will have to wait until I am sure he`s busy elsewhere! Have to get younger daughter to engage him in conversation about his horses, which she`ll be more than happy to do.

We moved into house in August 97 at CH and the parents are still there and will be until Dad leaves (i love that house so much)

An Offer!

Yesterday lunchtime, Venetia phoned with an offer!

It's less than we hoped - but it would be enough - it would be wonderful to be under offer before the leaves begin to fall and viewers see the large hole in the fence which is concealed at the moment by parthenocissus tricuspidata. Plus, middle daughter now wants to come and stay, and with all her stuff, viewers might not even cram themselves into bedroom and bathroom. I really want some time with middle daughter!

Venetia thought pb might go a little higher. She phoned back potential buyer, but pb was then unapproachably "in a meeting".

What will happen today? Could do with some of Philip's opium.

Only you and you OH can decide whether the time has come to accept this offer and, literally, move on. Obviously it would be good if the offer were increased, but the worst thing you can do is accept and then later have lots of "What if we had held out for more?" conversations.

Have you done any looking in Devon yet? Have you settled which kind of house or will that only happen when you see it? I know that this one we live in appealed to both our hearts - rather than our heads in terms of what we later had to spend on it   Still the view out of the window is beyond price!

Good luck, whatever you decide.

Goodness, it's wonderful that you have described my dream house! However, possibly a bit big for us though... so kind of you!

Venetia has checked out the woman who made the offer. She'd made an offer for another house too, same day, via another agent, so not a very reliable pb.

Still, it's only been a week on the market!

Oh!
