My favourite was a notice in the local woods.

"Do not throw stones at this notice."

Dosen't really fit the pedant's revolt but it's surreal nature appealed to me.

and of course, children must also be carried, I had to piggy-back my 20 year old yesterday, there was no other way I could carry him.

and one very old friend (70 plus plus plus) has a St Bernard whilst another, slightly younger, has three Newfoundlands plus two spaniels! Their combined weight on one step would probably overload the escalator. Stupid LT!
