Oh, hopefully mine will arrive tomorrow then. Although I have no faith in the french postal system. I am waiting for a tracked parcel that was posted on the 4th in the UK, and last Thursday it was locatable in Roissy, apparently being sorted to be sent on, and it was STILL there today when I looked on the tracking system. Not good enough. Can't blame the UK post though, it has to be the french. Bank holiday I guess, but only Monday here, nothing else. We once had a letter that had taken SIX MONTHS to arrive, because the sender had put a UK mainland stamp on it. INstead of letting the recipient pay the excess, they had stashed it in a dark hole somewhere for six months.

Some of the posts & comments I have read have warmed my heart &

Oh, two days to get to Kent, that probably means a whole week to get to France as the post man is probably riding a bike and carrying a string of onions. He'll certainly be stopping for coffee and goodness knows what else along the way at friendly houses.

This happens in Somerset as well (not the onions or bicycle).

Yes, nothing arrived today, so still waiting. However the parcel I was waiting for did, although it appeared in the post box although it should have been signed for. It is absolutely no use sending anything recorded delivery to France from the UK as the french totally ignore it. And guess what, my Post Office Airsure Track and Trace number has it still in Roissy, being sorted! NO! You idiots! It is at my house! I wonder how long that will say that for? What a totally useless Track and Trace that was.

It came today, at last. My son is in Peele A.

My DS is in Peele B so I know the matrons he will have. As you will have seen from an earlier post I think they are fab so rest assured

It's a long walk to Dining Hall (and everywhere else!) from Peele so whatever you do, don't save money on shoes - DMs are a must - he'll walk for miles every day!

Couldn't get much further from the dining hall! It will do him good as he is a bit chubby. I expect to see a new slimmed down son!

Peele matrons are wonderful and is very handy to have the matron in charge of the thrift shop as a matron
peele B do a lot of trips to begin with with peele A, and I know that they sit with Middleton at tea time (but that could just be my son's group of friends.) It's a long walk to dining hall, and ds was taken to the medical centre by car as it was too far to walk

and of course I can't wait to see what the Peele festival of arts is like this year
