Thanks everyone!.
I hope Josh did well!. He worked so hard in his exams so he should do.
My family are really proud of me, they keep telling everyone my grades which somewhat annoys me because it sort of downplays all of my effort and how difficult some of them were to just a bunch of grades......and everyone keeps asking about the bl**dy B.
Ooooh, my place at CH is so definite now so I'm definitely getting on that train next sunday.
Just realised how soon it is before term starts.
All I'm waiting for now is the news reports that GCSEs are gettin geasier. *sigh *

Not wishing to urinate on anyones fireworks, but some people excel because they have the power to re-call at exam time !
Personally, I hated exams, only gaining a 98% in English Literature which I thought was bl00dy marvellous. We used to get an actual percentage rather than A's, B's etc.
The rest were fails ! CH wanted me to return and do re-sits, but I had already passed my plod entrance so my mind was made up !
I am SO pleased that all our four grand-kids adore reading.
Our Grandson finished HP and Deathly Hallows in two days ! He's 11 !

I feel the need to defend myself and the current student body against that comment J.R.
It's true that one could pass, as in, scrape a pass with just memorising but the get the higher grades there actualy does need to be a quite a large amount of understanding and application.
If a student does really well then people say the exams are easy but if they do badly then apparantly they havnt tried hard enough.

Don't worry Gemma. We can all now see that you are not only brilliant but also deserving of continuing your education at Christ's Hospital. Speaking for myself I am just jealous that I am not in your shoes!
I am sure that all of us on this Forum are looking forward to watching you enjoy every moment of the next two years!
Hope you are celebrating with your family this evening. You deserve it.

Is it bad that I'm also slightly jealous of myself in a way?. It still doesn't feel quite real that I can go to school in about 10 days.
I'm so happy that I will finally have somethign to do with myself aswell. I think both Josh and I will try our hardest to keep the forum updated
, It will be nice to keep up with you all once I'm there.

We didn't get anything except pass or fail so I have no idea if it was just or a mile from the pass mark.J.R. wrote:Personally, I hated exams, only gaining a 98% in English Literature which I thought was bl00dy marvellous. We used to get an actual percentage rather than A's, B's etc.
Having more money doesn't make you happier. I have 50 million dollars
but I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million.
