It is not surprising that there are so many people sharing a birthday, you only need 24 people for it to be evens that two will share a birthday.

My younger two share a birthday, my husband shares a birthday with both my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law.

I know you have twins, and isn't your husband a twin as well, Mary? My two brothers shared a birthday, three years separated them. There are a surprising number of families with double birthdays and no twins.

I can remember teaching a class about the probability of sharing a birthday, the class laughed and said their shared birthday was 23rd August - which is my birthday, so there were three of us in the same room with the same birthday and fewer than 30 people there.

That looks wrong when you read it but (I think) it is correct English.

Yes Katharine I do have twins, and my husband is a twin, but my sister-in law isn't, she is married to my brother. When the next brother got engaged we asked his fiancee if her birthday was the same date, it wasn't.

Would this be better English?

The name I use here is that of my two sons

It's an odd one because I use it here as one name whereas it is actually two names so is it singular or plural in the sentence - I think singular as the preposition follows the first noun.

Confused?

I am.

I think the first one was correct but that this looks better.

Incidentally, I use the name I do because I have been chatting on the Internet for 10 years, and in the early days I wanted to be incognito, so I called myself Angel (nurse...geddit?). But I was always being paged in Spanish (Angel is a man's name in Spanish) so I put the English in front, and it stuck.
