Not so fast everyone. I have just made 1 hour and 10 min return trip home. No letter. The postman had been but no letter from CH. I actually phoned the lovely Mrs. Brakes and she said all letters were sent yesterday. I asked if successful went first and others second class and she said no. So guess tomorrow I will find out what my postman looks like. Good luck to all those who were successful. Congratulations.

I wonder if all those forms and lists bear any relation to what my parents were sent in 1956 .....'When your daughter reaches the age of 12 she will require hockey boots and a suspender belt ...' The picture of hockey boots attached to a suspender belt became a family joke for years afterwards.

Lol! Nope, an income assessment letter, letter from the Head, parent/guardian agreement letter, anti-bullying code etc. Might have been fun to include your hockey boot and suspender picture though. Still can't stop smiling!

H'm ..... anti-bullying code? I still have somewhere the masterfully drafted letter sent out by Miss Morrison and Mr Baker at the time of the merger, on the subject of fraternisation between the sexes. I really must search for it.
