Gemma-I hope you can shop online- where would even we dinos be without it? Having located a firm that makes clothes that fit me (yaboo, I'm taller than you 5' 2") in"petite" fittings, I do a lot of online shopping.

Is it possible to order things over the net while at CH ( as in, on my own Natwest account ) and get them delivered to me at my boarding house?. I am hoping it is acceptable since I can see myself forgetting things and needing to order them online.

sooooooo, if anyone can shed light it would be immensely helpful

Yes, I know several people who`ve ordered from Amazon etc, so I don`t see any problems.

Oh good, that is a relief.
I can see myself recieving random packages of things that I realise that I need and/or really want

. Oh I'm so nervous now but I realised I still had to actualy finish my homework : this quite large book about medieval history and a whole book of worksheets about Latin.
So off I trot xx

Hasn't Josh got a mobile phone with him on his travels, Gemma ? He'd be able to tell you about ordering on the internet.
Oh yes ! The bedboards. Remove three or four of the centre ones so that when the victim planted his bum in the centre of the bed, he'd fold up nicely and dissapear through the frame. Can't recal what it was called, though.
The other one was apple-pie beds. Remove the blankets; fold the top sheet up from the bottom to the top, then relay the blankets tightly.

Yeah he's got his mobile, though rarely any reception. I've managed to chate to him for varied lengths of time though never very long. He's doing well and enjoying himself.
I'll ask him that when he's back since he probs won't have reception again till then

Wasn't it called 'setting' the boards?

cj, I do believe you're a genius!
JR, yes, removing a few worked a treat, but "setting" them so that they were barely touching the frame and all fell out with a huge clatter was much more satisfying!

From what I've seen I don't think it will work with the beds they have at the moment.
Other than that it would be great fun.
I feel rather cheeky at the moment because it's sort of a school tradition that we steal the photo of Elsie Day ( The old Headmistress from AAAAAGES ago ) who the current headmistress talks about in every assembly and do something with it. We took pictures of it in random locations and now we're emailing them to the current Headmistress. ah bliss.

It certainly wouldn't, Gemma.
The beds you have at CH today are total luxury compared to the military style beds of the 50's.
You got two sheets and one army style rough blanket and you were allowed to take one personal blanket of your own which had to be folded at the end of your bed during the day.

I think that could be called 'Old Age Word Conversion'
