Hertford House

I know that there are now two Grecians only houses but what and where is Hertford House?
Can somone put an old fogie out of his misery?

Hertford is/was in the infirmary building - used as a sort of "overflow" house for female Deps from the other houses

I think Hertford started with 'overflow' grecians from the year above me in 1998...
When the Grecians houses were opened they put Deps in there...
Once Thornton has been turned into a girl's house, it will no longer exist (unless it's already happened),
It had about 12 girls in it and it was in the ground floor wards of the sicker...

Hertford ceased to exist as a house last summer.

Thats sad - After all the boys came from Greyfriars to Hertford, then split to go to Horsham, the girls then followed nearly a 100 yrs later and all of the Hertford traditions and part of it is just being rubbed out - it will only be us poor elderly ladies who can remember Hertford - I think that CH should reinstate Hertford House - as a direct copy of one of the Hertford Houses from 1904.... no reason it can't be used as a guest house and bring in some money - give it a celebrity image "I'm a celeb get me out of here"!! lol!
