Yes, and to a healthy standard i presume, populated by non-rugby playing types.
However, a previous station master who ran the Victoria - Bognor service smashed so many trains, the 'service' has become 'restricted'

I was the last member actually, but unfortunately there wasn't enough demand for it and so the trains are just seating around gathering dust

yes it is. the current set the school has is worth thousands and was donated from an old boy in his will. The set itself is a very ambitious horsham to bognor line going through a mountain and passing CH too. The site of the club is in the sheds behind the dt school

it may be seen as "uncool" among children nowadays to play with trains and this saddens me that people are possibly too worried of the abuse they'll receive if they partook in such an activity.

I didn't know we had one. It's probably rotted away in those sheds.

sigh, and this misspent youth will be galavanting around housing estates, mugging old women and throwing homebaked biscuits and appearing on internet radio stations.
As BrassEye indicated, we are a country in DECLINE.

When I was at CH, I was one of the 'sad' kids (I happen to think this thread may well be 'ironic' or tounge in cheek...)
The set was certainl expensive but it does appear to be gathering dust. It was run by Mr Robinson...
Also in the room was th nameplate of a locmotive called Christ's Hospital and the clock which used to be at CH station...

mr robinson was a fine "fat controller" (lol)
he was stern but fair- qualities needed for the smooth running of a successful and punctual train network methinks

The new reprographics room is mooted to go in the railway shed - anyone with an interest in the stock or the future of the railway ought to contact the school.

why would they put the reporgraphics that far from the School Office... seems a little bizarre...
I'll have the nameplate though if no one else wants it...

only mooted, although I think that it will be the chosen site. The building will need major refurbishment though so they may still find somewohere else.
