What is your favourite search engine

Post by englishangel »

Google is my middle name as JR has said once or twice. (not in so many words)

I am on AOL and Google is the default search engine.

Sometimes I 'Ask Jeeves' especially for pictures or shopping.

have you come across Every Click? It raises money for charity by its searches - perhaps we should get one of the CH charities listed?

I now use Every Click first but will readily admit it does not have the depth of Google.

Don't ask someone who works in information services about this one! Oh, that would be me then

Search engines, in particular Google, are relied on by many of our students for scholarly research. While these engines may have a mass of material, it is not necessarily good material. Google does not cover most books or scholarly journals, and the area over intellectual property is particulary contentious.

Rant over :)

We use 'Jeeves', although my Butler is now defunct. They have a new front page. Still very good, though.

Must admit, I do occasionally have a Google !
