Green Wing

Has anyone been watching Green Wing? Channel 4 repeated the whole of series 1 over the last 2 weeks and the second series of episode 2 is on tonight at 9pm. A lot of people say they dislike the speeded up/slowed down editing but I think it's original and extremely well done.

My favourite aspect is the just sheer zany nuttyness of it all - it's exactly how I imagine a sitcom would be had it been written by Monty Python. The characters are so brilliant and I love the jokes and themes running through the show. Last week Guy told a man with a goatee that his wife was waiting for him in reception with the rest of his beard - brilliant!

If you haven't seen it I suggest you try it...

Rather interesting - the forum sensored me after I put the word 'watched' after the word 'haven't'. It thinks I'm trying spell the word T then W then A then T which I wasn't, but for the purposes of this post, I am.
[Just changed the word "watched" to "seen" before I read this post! Mod]

Haven't seen it - sounds like it's worth a go.

Don't know why I missed it - probably saw the word 'hospital' somewhere.

Having said that, we always catch House and Kingdom Hospital (for once, not a bad American version of a 'foreign' original).

It is absolutely brilliant !

I watched the repeats and was glad to see that all the originals had signed up for the new series.

Its a three-part mixture of entertainment.

Takes the p1ss out of Holby and Casualty.
Its pure anarchy

.. and finally, when you cut through the black humour, it has a very serious but funny message.

The actor who plays Alan Statham is superb. A pure mixture of John Cleese, Spike (God), Milligan and Peter Sellers.

I totally agree! Mark Heap (who plays Alan Statham) is amazing. I expect we'll see him move into films soon. If not I'll eat my stethoscope!

He already has.

I have not seen it, Mum comes a poor fifth for the two TVs in the house.

WOW !

He has quite an impressive show-biz record.

I thought the ending of last-nights episode was classic, especially when Joanna got the reply from the 'girl' in the taxi......

"I've still got me tights on !!"
