I agree that it is very wll done. There are, however, is, however, a contradiction, which, admittedly, would only be obvious to naval buffs. First, the submarine is externally extremely accurate. I know that there are NO S-class boats left - indeed, there haven't been any for at least 25 years - so I take my hat off to the production company for producing such an accurate copy. My guess is that it is a modified Polish Navy, Soviet-built Foxtrot-class, which has been rebuilt above the waterline at the Polish Naval Yard at Gdansk. But, it is very well done, looks absolutely authentic, and must have cost an arm and a leg.
On the other hand the escort ship which goes to sea with the submarine, and is called "HMS Oakland" is quite clearly an ex-Soviet inshore minesweeper, which has not been modified in any way, except that she wears the White Ensign. Perhaps, they just couldn't find a British-looking ship because the Royal Navy hasn't got any left! But it seems odd to spend so much attention and money on the sub and then so little on the escorting ship.
Still, there we are. Looking forward to discovering the solutiuon to the mystery tonight.
