Proud Father

I've found out that my middle daughter got a 2:1 so I'm well chuffed as they say in chav land!

That's 2 of the 3 with degrees now. Hopefully the little one (15) will want to try and emulate her sisters.

Sorry to prattle on but she was really stressed earlier in the year with all the aggro and threats arising from the lecturers' industrial action so it is good to see her so happy now.

All's well that ends well as Willy Shakespeare said.

Fantastic news. I hope I do that well in a year's time!

For future reference AUT strikes aren't as threatening as they sound (well they have to sound terrible otherwise they don't work), we've had more than our fair share at Swansea.

Many congratulations - what is she going to do now? has she her life all planned out?

Nice one, congrats to her (from the father of another 2:1 so I know how hard it can be)

BTW - a bit concerned about the number of the devil which appeared below your avatar

Thank you all for your kind words.

Katharine, she is contemplating doing a Masters as the university were impressed with her dissertation and suggested she could develop her research further and also make some money giving workshops and seminars. She has recently been teaching though and also enjoyed that so we shall see what she decides. I've said to her that she can still teach after the Masters if she still wishes so she may take that route.

I didn't realise my post count before this post was the dreaded 3 sixes :!:

I suppose I'd better add in my little announcement here too. I'm also a proud father, although Harry has achieved very little to date - other than being born.

He weighed in at 7lb 3oz. I've been a little tardy in letting you all know - he was one month old today.

I presume that's rhetorical!
