One of those people who, during their time at school, went to the Archaeology Department and played Warhammer? Just asking, because there's a big campaign going on this summer and I was wondering if anyone feels like coming down for a game.

Do you play WOW?

40,000 years in the future.
They also now do a Lord of the Rings game.
They have been going since 1978.
Most places have a Games Workshop, though usually not in the main shopping centre, filled with small (and not so small) boys in black T-shirts covered in glue and paint.

I think Warhammer is also in MMORPG form.

Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
The ultimate in "I've got too much time on my hands" activities.

I always had a sly laugh at the warhammer lot at CH. However, my lab mates are D&D obsessives and I've joined in. It's actually pretty good fun!

Yup, don't knock it until you've tried it.
A friend of mine has been doing D&D for ages. She and her b/f go to events where they get dressed up and play live characters in scenarios that have been set up in castles and other scenic locations.
Not my "thing", but as a librarian I know would say; "let each book find its reader".
But don't get carried away...

When I did Archaeology A-level, the department was Mr Fleming's flat and our lessons were in Peele (the room above the changing rooms - can't remember what it was called).

That would have been the quiet room.
He did have for years a room that was half of the old Prep sports hall in the Prep block.
He now has a room in 'Grange Hill' in the Art School Quad.

All of that has totally passed me by. If it was going on at CH while I was there I missed it. Never heard of these weird terms you use either. Hmm.
